Michael E. Groher, Ph.D. FASHA Dr. Groher is a Clinical Professor at the University of Redlands in Redlands, California. His main clinical and research interests are in the area of adult swallowing disorders. Dr. Groher is best known for his text, Dysphagia: Diagnosis and Management (Butterworth-Heinemann). He also has combined with Dr. Robert Miller on an important text for the speech pathologist working in a medical setting, Medical Speech Pathology (Contemporary Program), and with Dr. Michael Crary on The Introduction to Swallowing Disorders (Elsbuier). Dr. Groher serves as an associate editor for the journal Dysphagia (Springer-Verlag) that serves as an important source for research information on dysphagia as reported by many related disciplines. Dr. Groher is an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Fellow, and is an active member of the Dysphagia Research Society. He has lectured and published extensively both nationally and internationally on the topic of adult dysphagia management. |
